Canadian Reconciling Baptist Fellowship
Welcome to God’s Ministry New Hope & Missions
We are founded upon Baptist principles. We strive to create a welcoming environment built upon a solid foundation of God’s Word and dedicated service in preaching and living the Gospel of Christ. We hope to have you join our fellowship so we can help each other grow in the knowledge and love of Christ.
Reconciliation, in Christian theology, is an element of salvation that refers to the results of atonement. Reconciliation is the end of the estrangement, caused by original sin, between God and humanity. John Calvin describes reconciliation as the peace between humanity and God that results from the expiation of religious sin and the propitiation of God’s wrath.
Evangelical theologian Philip Ryken describes reconciliation in this way; “It is part of the message of Salvation that brings us back together with God. … God is the author, Christ is the agent and we are the ambassadors of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5).”
Although it’s only used five times in the Pauline corpus (Romans 5:10-11, 11:15, 2 Corinthians 5:18-20, Ephesians 2:14-17 and Colossians 1:19-22) it is an essential term, describing the “substance” of the gospel and salvation. Ralph Martin writing in the Dictionary of Paul and his Letters, suggests reconciliation is at the center of Pauline theology. Stanley Porter writing in the same volume suggests a conceptual link between the reconciliation Greek word group katallage (or katallasso) and the Hebrew word shalom, generally translated as peace.
The Eric Michel Ministries International (EMMI) is an Independent United Methodist and Baptist Fellowship with headquarters based in Gatineau Quebec, Canada.
NHMM traces its founding to Jesus and the Twelve Apostles and the Bishops of the church as the successors of the Apostles. While it derives its Apostolic Succession from the teaching of the Christian faith.
History of the beginning
In 2010 we were only a Chaplaincy under the name Eric Michel Ministries & Chaplaincy with only 3 ministries, The Chaplaincy Ministry, The Spiritual Services Ministry and The Teaching Ministry. Then the whole organization was a Chaplaincy.
2012 Rev Marie and Rev Eric meet and became spouses and during that time we found out that the Chaplaincy needed an organization to endorse the Chaplaincy, In Canada, we were the only one of our kind so we needed to establish one. It was Rev. Marie’s dream for a long period of time to have her own church
and in 2013 was born New Hope Ministry, completely independent from EMMI.
2014 for economic reason EMMI & NHM merge and become New Hope Ministry & Missions. During the year EMMI registered with the Government as a religious not for profit corporation under the number 895170-5.
- Today EMMI count 12 ministries and New Hope Ministry & Missions is the backbone of them all.
- NHM&M is involved in all ministries. It is the ministry that supplies the clergy, administering all EMMI.
- The Chaplaincy work under the clergy board, but NHM&M works hand in hand with the clergy board and also the board of Elders.
- Anything going on at EMMI it has to be through the NHM&M first.
“Enter through the narrow gate.
For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction
and many enter through it.
But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life,
and only a few find it.”
Rev. Marie Arnold B Msc.
Founder of NHM&M
With our open communion, meaning that you do not have to be a member of this church or any church. Everybody can receive the holy communion. With this statements, it sets up the tone of our belief and teaching, The Spirit on mankind to bring peace into every home. God is All Love. He is Compassion, He is Forgiveness, He is Kindness. He is the only Reality. He is the source of all religions. The Supreme Reality is One. It is that Reality which is worshipped in all places of worship. It is the One Being glorified in all the scriptures of the world. The Goal of each soul is to go back and join the spirit of God to reunite through a greater enlightenment of self, to reach the highest level of rebirth after death as a god-like being.
\We belief in the ” Philosophy”, which honours and values the fundamental beauty and wisdom in all traditions. For us Christian, it’s God our Lord, Christ, our Father in Heaven. We do not hold exclusive views on salvation. We have developed a view of the New Testament as an extended covenant; We believe that any person in a valid relationship with God earns a heavenly reward.
Being Christian is LOVE, love God, love your neighbour like yourself, keep the peace
The answer as to be Christian is in Matthew 22:36-39
“Teacher, what is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus answer was, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great first commandment.
The second, which is like it, is this ” You must love your neighbour as you love yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the prophets.”
As we practice THE commandement, we are Christian no matter what the others think.
Quotation from the TV SERIES GREENLEAF on OWN:
– What do you believe, Grace?
– Well, mama, I believe that the Bible is one useful tool to see into the heart of God in the Christian tradition.
Well, I guess I believe there’s a part of everything that tries.
You know, like plants try to grow, animals try to survive, people try to better themselves to get ahead. Everything tries to do something. And I guess I think that Christianity is just one way that the trying part of people tries to connect with the trying part of everything else.
– Here, here. I’d go to that church.
– Me, too. Amen!
Each Christian church has their definition of what it is to be a Christian, but Jesus was not a member of any of those churches, a matter of fact, he is a Jew, teaching Jewish things to Jewish people and He does not have any clue as what is a Christian, it was not invented yet.
But to be sure just follow the great commandement in which we find in the Golden Rule.
